About

Supporting you in making the changes that matter.

As a licensed clinical social worker, my primary goal in my work with all my clients is to decrease their suffering. I am exceptionally experienced and adept at working with women who are experiencing a variety of life stressors. I provide support to many individuals who have experienced difficult childhoods, ranging from attachment disruptions to all kinds of abuse. Other clients come to me because their romantic relationships are complicated, stressful, or overwhelming, and they’re looking for support in determining if the connection can be improved or saved or if it’s time to move on. Often, in addition to these issues, these women are struggling with the symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, depression, or early recovery from alcoholism. I am a psychodynamic provider at my core (meaning I believe much of our suffering is linked to experiences of early childhood and family dynamics), and I use a variety of approaches such as EMDR, CBT, DBT, MI, Humanistic, and strength-based approaches to support my clients and tailor an individualized plan for them. I'm a strong advocate for my clients and operate from a place of compassion and empathy, both in session and with family members who might benefit from education about their loved one's struggles. If we work together, you’ll find that I’ll be sure to keep your treatment goals front and center. I am motivated to support you in healing and making the changes you want for an improved life. I am not the kind of provider who allows clients to languish in treatment without working on challenging issues or making progress for weeks and months. Most of my clients are competent, busy professionals, and they appreciate my honoring their time, energy, and efforts in this manner. Through ongoing training and clinical supervision, I stay abreast of new research and practices. I also share my passion for helping others through clinical supervision for new social workers, lectures in the community, and acting as an adjunct lecturer at a nearby university in the Master of Social Work program. If it sounds like I might be of service to you, please do not hesitate to reach out for an initial consultation. While training and experience are essential, the research indicates the strongest indicator of success in therapy is your relationship with your provider. Let’s chat and see if we’re a good fit!
